Miss B's Story. It all started with a chicken.

We brought home six identical Black Sex-Link pullets the spring we started this. Miss B separated herself from the flock immediately — not by fighting, but by simply walking to the front.

 

She'd watch movies on the couch with the girls as a chick. She'd stand at the back door as a hen, looking through the glass, patient and unbothered, waiting to be let back in. The girls assumed the "B" was just an initial — over time, they landed on "Miss Boss" as the explanation. It suited her perfectly. We've never felt the need to elaborate.

 

She's no longer with us, but her name is on everything we do — because the standard she set is the one we still try to meet.

A Small Ranch With a Big Heart

We raise a small number of cattle each year — intentionally. Because doing it right matters more than doing it big.

Our Herefords are 100% pasture-raised. No grain finishing, no feedlot time. The beef tastes different because it is different.

Mobile Slaughter Fee

Rather than the stress that comes with transporting off property, our cattle are slaughtered onsite in the home they're comfortable in.

This fee is split between buyers at the percentage of cow they're purchasing.

Per "Hung" Pound

Hanging weight is measured without the head, cape, organs, guts, and feet.

This is the cost of the meat, paid to Miss B's Family Ranch.

Per Pound Cut/Wrap Fee

This fee is paid to the butcher for cutting/wrapping the meat.

Our butcher also offers specialty meats to be made with our beef (for an additional charge), including land jaegers, pepper stick, summer sausage, jerky, and so much more.
